During the course of life, our face is exposed to various stress factors that influence the structure, complexion and firmness of the skin. The fractional CO2 laser significantly reduces wrinkles, acne scars and wrinkles caused by UV damage. It also improves tone and texture of the skin. Moreover, by ablating and renewing the skin surface, pores will appear refined. At Vistaline, we only work with high-quality original laser equipment from certified manufacturers. Cheap copies from China, which are sometimes offered in cosmetics studios, can lead to considerable health risks and unsatisfactory results.
The principle of action is that the laser light is not applied over a large area as older generations of lasers did, but instead is distributed (fractionated) over many small tissue areas. For this reason, the skin can heal and renew much faster.
The most important application areas for fractionated CO2 laser treatments are acne scars, large pores and UV damaged skin with wrinkles. Due to their excellent safety profile, fractionated CO2 lasers can not only be used on the face but also provide excellent results in sensitive skin regions such as the neck, neckline and hands. The Co2 laser is also suitable for the treatment of certain warts.
The fractionated CO2 laser treatment should only be carried out on lighter skin types (Fitzpatrick 1 to 2, and in some type 3). Direct sun exposure before and up to at least 6 weeks after treatment should be avoided.
During the consultation with our doctor, you will be informed in detail about pre- and post treatment care as well as possible risks and side effects. It’s important to avoid direct exposure to sunlight before and for at least 6 weeks after the treatment.
